The larger the better….If you suspect you need a larger tank the you probably do….

Upgrade. Would you want to be stuck in one room of your house with two other people?

  • Emily:

I reckon you must upgrade to a 10 gallon, because fish like alot of space, also the tank would get dirtier alot nearer

  • wildbeast:

    a goldfish can fit there

    i go for a 10 gallon tank

I would def upgrade to a ten or at least a 20 gallon. The fish get larger quicker and you can set up alot more homes. But the tank you have will fit 3 mollies or guppies or any docile fish breed. They just won’t grow much and will need more frequent fill up changes.

1 gallon is sweet small. plus the shape isnt very excellent for providing swimming space. i have a 2.5 gallon shrimp tank and i dont reckon its enough space for 3 mollies. get the 10. they are cheap and equipment isnt too much either. then you can add more fish shortly if you want.

  • Vel:

The general rule is one gallon fill up per one inch of fish.

  • Mokey41:

It is as small as it looks. That is about a 3 gallon tank. 3 mollies need a minimum of a 10 gallon tank with a excellent filter and a heater.

If you want to keep the tetra’s too then you’ll need a 15 or 20 gallon. Neons must be kept in schools of 6 or more.
