I just planted my very first lilac (preston) and I did everything you said about where to plant and watering etc. I needed some excellent advice on pruning and I got it here from you. Thank you very much!
I planted over 75 lilacs around my fence line for privacy. the problem is some are sitting where a lot of ash and scrape metal was dug up while planting, these seem to be stunted compared to the rest of the greenery. Is there anything you could recommend to help the growth? All started at around 2ft tall most are now well over 6ft but for the group i bring up they are between 3 and 4ft. I’m taking into account manure but I don’t know if it will help. Any suggestions will be helpful thankfulness for your time.
Thankfulness!
