DO NOT PLANT THE TOP OF THE PLANT! IT WILL ROT AND DIE WHEN DRYING! TWIST OF THE TOP WITH YOUR HANDS,THEN PEEL BACK THE FIRST INCH OF LEAVES AND YOU WILL SEE ROOTS, PLANT THAT PART BUT NOT ANY FRUIT!
Thank you!
Incredible

i will really probably do this! so it doesn’t need to be place into a schooner of fill up like an Avocado tree? also if i live in a frost area, can I have this outside in the summer and bring it in during the chill?
@TheEvilSquishyBunny – If they wilted and died, then the plants probably weren’t very healthy to initiation with…or just a run of terrible luck. With my three, I looked for green tops without wilting, with baby leaves at the center, and tugged on the baby leaves to check for vigor.
@phdpalomer – Carefully dig them up, pot them, and bring them inside. As tropical plants, they won’t carry on the freeze.
@Leonicdragon – That’s just so what I do. Then I dirt them in well draining soil.
)
I have three pleased pineapple plants: 1) Rip the baby plant from the fruit in a circular motion. – 2) Remove ALL fruit, and underside inch of leaves. – 3) Let sit for 48 hours in low humidity, room temperature. – 4) Place in fill up up to leaves, set in indirect light, and change every few days. 5) In a month, strong roots appear. 6) plant in 1/2 garden soil, 1/2 cactus soil, in an unglazed terra-cotta pot, and soak. 7) check daily, and fill up to keep somewhat moist, but not wet.
18 months? ;o noway im gonna try this.. to long time
@dragosm90 ya?? whys that so terrible?? u reckon its guna grow in a day? or what?
18 fucking months ????
I dont reckon that drying it out is a excellent thought i tried drying out 4 pinaples for 1 day each and the the next day i checked on them the leaves were all wilted and when i planted them shortly they died out. I already have 5 fully grown pinaples and i planted them fresh so i dont reckon its a excellent thought to let them dry
This guy has absolutly no thought how to grow a pineapple. Look at all the fruit he has left on there the only thing that will do is rot.
@phdpalomer surrond them in fire. lol j/k i have no thought
I have 12 honestly strong plants growing for 2 months now. The problem that I just realized is that I live in North Texas, planted them in-ground & have severe cold winters. Do you know of a way to protect them from cold weather?
@Leonicdragon
1 foot tall about 4 – 5 months ancient. leaves are extreemly red and hang, grow about 8 inches, then they go so green and shiny/lush then brace up and stick out. very kool to watch grow.
ive always establish pinapple weird for that, even with the root tips
sometimes it isnt going to grow, regardless. probably to do with age or the way
some companies harvest them. But im only guessing.
i have but managed to get a sexy mango tree going from pit
@samljer yeah I always twist the top off, peel back about an inch of the crown to expose the root sites, and then let it dry for a day or two, then rinse it in fill up and get all the eaves nice and green, trim off the necrotic part (aesthetics) and then place it in a cup and pour a modest fill up into the center of the plant and fill it just to the top of the base before the leaves. Then let it root. Make sure the crown has no mold or else it will just rot. you can keep them in the fill up if u want
12 to 18 months is what I heard.
Thank you for the Clogged Captioning.
the 30 second commercials are starting to suck i might even be intrested in the manufactured goods if it were a fleeting 10 sec commercial
Theres a far more succesful way to do it, i establish with this method accomplishment was 1/3 but that apple tip is killer going to try that
LoL excellent ol’ Cypress Hill, I saw them at the 2009 Smokeout this year and they performed that song. So terrible ass. But anyway, “Green Thumb” is a general term for anyone who is knowlegable with plants. For some wits, some people are just more sucessful at growing than other people are. And those people are said to have a green thumb.
