Those pumpkins look large enough for my needs. I don’t need a pumpkin larger than a volkswagon. :)

There are no mistakes….only learning opportunities .

Does anyone use Growbags (Combination of coco peat and/or husk chips) to grow Tomato’s? Growbags are 100% untreated and environmentally sustainable, used widely in the industry due to the benefits of the manufactured goods for Tomato growing…

Help protect our environment, use environmentally friendly products.

Your wisdom is evident, but hope you deliberate wild gourd tea, as it does not kill bugs but very stop them from intake your crops. always test on one type of plant to make sure of no problems. but I have in my years establish nothing better as a bug repellent for plants

I like using my insect friends to eat the terrible insects. I do not use organic or compound pesticides any more. I promote the excellent bugs in my garden to eat them– or use safe traps, like beer traps or coloured plastic in fill up to pull towards you certain bugs or my hands to catch them. The BEST way to fight off bugs is to have healthy plants as they produce their own untreated pesticides. Growing in nutrient rich compost produces REALLY healthy plants. There is nothing like it.

..people make mistakes. It may not be a mistake, but someone may have a better way of doing something. I deliberate myself sweet knowledgeable when it comes to growing vegies, but there is always someone who knows more. I am open to suggestions and trying new ways. If the new ways work better, I use those new ways. Open minds allow us to grow and continue to learn.

the worst mistake is not to much fill up, as I use only rain fill up and save it till I need it.
the worst mistake is using pesticides.
I use a bug repellent for my plants.
I use wild gourd leaves and make a tea to spray on my plants. Nothing in the bug world eats wild Gourd leaves so your plants are safe.

My dad is a top gardener and he never makes mistakes. disparate my friends dad who is a builder.
Sad people, who would want to be a builder when you could be a gardener.

    SMART

  • buckstarchaser:

I couldn’t tell that the pumpkins were crowded :( I bet they were a small variety anyway :)

The diging down technique with the organic material tip and “if you don’t feel moisture add fill up” she gave must cover both soil types, wouldn’t you reckon? Covering both types individually would be a much longer and confusing explanation in this brief clip for beginners I reckon.

  • LaminatedGardenGuide:

  • WHITETRASHDOLL:

Thank you this was very helpful ;)

  • cmbrughnews:

i like that she mentions not crowding the plants in the space. and let the pumpkins or chill squash stay outside to harden to last longer. did not know that.
the one problem i have her is about watering. clay fill up infrequent for long time (ie 2x/ wk for 20-30 mins), sand fill up frequent for fleeting time (ie every other day or daily for 5 mins) add compost to help contain fill up in grimy soil and prevent waterlogging in clay
